Jonathan Thacher is an experienced criminal defense attorney who joined Woolsey Morcom following three years as an Assistant Public Defender in Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit and five years working in private practice. Prior to joining Woolsey Morcom, Mr. Thacher handled thousands of criminal defense cases ranging from DUI to felonies punishable by life imprisonment. He has tried numerous cases to verdict, including misdemeanors and serious felonies such as Capital Sexual Battery and Murder.
Mr. Thacher graduated Magna Cum Laude from Charleston Southern University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in History. He then moved to Florida to attend Florida Coastal School of Law where he graduated with Honors. As a law student at Florida Coastal, Mr. Thacher received the book award for obtaining the highest grade in his Advanced Criminal Procedure course, and he was on the Dean’s List five out of six
semesters.
When he is not working, Mr. Thacher enjoys spending time with his wife and children, and playing poker and basketball.
