Jim is a commercial trial attorney.
Jim grew up in the Florida Panhandle and graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. From there, he served in the U.S. Navy, including service as a company commander in a Seabee battalion. He then graduated from the FSU College of Law with high honors. Jim served two years as a law clerk for a U.S. District Judge and was a shareholder for many years at Smith Hulsey & Busey, where he practiced in the commercial litigation department and worked with Nick Morcom.
Jim joined Woolsey Morcom in 2025 in the commercial litigation department. His experience includes litigation of disputes involving contracts, banking, real property, retail petroleum sales, construction, and fiduciary relationships.
